Spring Into Style With Unbound Merino

Spring can be hard to plan for in the clothing department. When it starts off a little chilly in the morning, but by the afternoon you are ready to be soaking up the sun in a t-shirt.

We have the answer for you! Merino wool is the perfect clothing to wear in spring because layering is key. You want layers that can keep you warm in the cold but also tackle the heat simultaneously. Merino wool is a technical piece of clothing that can tackle any temperature a spring day throws at you.

Personally, our favorite brand for Merino wool is Unbound Merino. We’ve worked with them in the past and have been wearing their clothing for many years now!

A key reason why we like Unbound Merino is the timeless design of their clothing. A simple t-shirt or v-neck will never go out of style. You won’t notice a large logo on their clothing, just a simple and practical design.

When we travel, the first items we put in our suitcase are our Unbound Merino layers. Because of the odor resistance in merino wool clothing, it is the perfect piece of clothing to pack on a trip. You can go many days without washing merino wool. Therefore, it’s the answer to packing less on any trip!

Plus it’s wrinkle-free and lightweight. So you can throw your merino layers in your suitcase and pull them out ready to wear. You also won’t break your back when having to throw your suitcase in the overhead bin!

Special Care Needed For Unbound Merino!

Of course, we are huge fans of merino wool. But I want to inform you that some special care is needed with merino wool clothing.

  • Clothing needs to be air-dried, otherwise it will shrink in the dryer.
  • Merino wool clothing needs to be handled with care. While merino wool is very soft, it can get holes easily if it snags on something sharp. (for example, don’t wash your merino layers with jeans or anything that may have a sharp zipper).
  • It can be pricey! Merino wool is a technical layer, but as you saw, there are SO many benefits. It’s not mass-produced and made with care, which will reflect in the price. But, we truly think it’s worth the price!

As long as you take good care of your merino wool, and treat it slightly better than the rest of your clothing, it will take care of you for many years to come! And you will have layers you can wear that are both practical and stylish!
